What is PixlPickPro?
PixlPickPro is a lightweight color picker and on-screen measurement tool for Windows and macOS. It lets you grab the color of any pixel on your screen and measure distances and element sizes without switching apps.
Which operating systems does it work on?
It runs on both Windows and macOS. The Windows version is available on the Microsoft Store, and the macOS version is on the way.
How do I pick a color from my screen?
Press Ctrl+Shift+X to activate the eyedropper, move your cursor over any pixel — in any app, window, or website — and click to copy the color to your clipboard.
Can I copy the HEX values?
Yes. When you pick a color, PixlPickPro copies its value to your clipboard so you can paste it straight into your CSS, code, or design tool. It samples the exact pixel for accurate HEX values.
How do I measure distances on screen?
Press Ctrl+Shift+C to start the measurement tool, then drag over the area you want to measure. Release to copy the width and height in pixels to your clipboard. Hold Alt to zoom in for pixel-precise selection, and hold Space to pan.
Does it work in any app or browser?
Yes. It works system-wide across every app, window, and website on your screen — no browser extension or design software required.
Do I need an account or an internet connection?
No. PixlPickPro runs entirely on your own device. It does not require an account, and it does not send your colors, measurements, or screen contents to us.
Why does macOS ask for Screen Recording permission?
macOS requires Screen Recording permission for any app to read the contents of the screen. PixlPickPro uses it only to sample colors and measure on-screen — nothing is recorded or sent anywhere.
